Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager will lead initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and manage our worldwide supply network.

This independent role collaborates closely with the management team in Komatsu's Supply Chain department, overseeing global sourcing decisions, shortening lead times, achieving cost reductions, and mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Indirectly managing a complex supplier base across local, global, and intercompany networks.
  • Driving strategic sourcing initiatives, comparing local vs. global supply capabilities, and optimizing the supply chain.
  • Assessing geopolitical risks and developing dual source streams to enhance supply chain agility.
  • Developing strategies to minimize supply chain risk and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Leading key supply chain optimization projects and supporting product strategy programs and supplier development programs.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain management or a senior operational role in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering industries.
  • Broad understanding of purchasing, materials management, and manufacturing excellence.
  • Proven experience in strategy development with a focus on compliance to safety, quality, and procurement policies.
  • Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on indirect management through influence.
  • Solid understanding of contract and commercial law related to purchasing management.
