Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team as an Treasury Transactions Specialist.

This role will see you support Global Market Dealers and Front Office through the processing and settlement of Treasury transactions, working closely with Assistant Vice Presidents to mitigate operational risks and drive customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and settle Treasury-related transactions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Sort and distribute maturing corporate deals to dealers for instructions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Confirm transactions and instructions with counterparties and follow-up on outstanding items, maintaining effective communication channels.
  • Verify dealing evidence and SWIFT confirmations (MT320 / MT399) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Authorize STP deals, book transfers, and trades in the external matching/settling system, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Release STP payment orders for Corporate and Interbank MM transactions, ensuring seamless transaction processing.
  • Prepare customer notices, documents, and confirmations for corporate customers, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prepare SWIFT messages via SAMH and monitor confirmation matching, showcasing proficiency in messaging systems.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment/settlement of GMO products, adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Reconcile funds received to settle all transactions and investigate unallocated and/or non-received funds, exercising analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Handle customer and internal enquiries and requests for information, providing clear and concise responses.
  • Buiild strong working relations and open communications with internal stakeholders and customers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform end-of-day balancing/reconciliation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports for Operations Management, presenting key findings and insights.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar or related role within Global Markets Operations, demonstrating relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Experience with Austraclear and/or SWIFT would be highly advantageous, showcasing expertise in messaging systems and financial operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure with good time management skills and attention to detail, prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and customers alike.
