Job Title: Treasury Funding Specialist

Job Overview:

This role is responsible for providing strategic support to the Treasurer in managing the Sydney branch's balance sheet.

  • Manage liquidity and funding requirements of the Sydney branch, including day-to-day management of currency positions and liquid assets.
  • Monitor and manage the Sydney branch balance sheet and liquidity to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Support Senior Portfolio managers in portfolio construction and trade execution of the Investment Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Executing daily transactions related to funding and liquidity management.
  2. Monitoring and analyzing market data to inform investment decisions.
  3. Providing support to senior portfolio managers in developing and implementing investment strategies.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial markets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or a related field, and 2-5 years of front office Treasury-related experience.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a global financial institution, is highly desirable.
