Job Overview
The Rural Locum Assistance Program supports the Australian Government's rural workforce capacity agenda by delivering essential healthcare services to rural and remote regions.
Key Responsibilities- Providing person-centred care and support to clients with a variety of needs, including those with dementia and high care requirements.
- Developing, coordinating, and implementing care plans tailored to individual client goals.
- Supporting clients with mobility, including safe operation of hoists and other manual handling equipment.
- Collaborating with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Certificate III (or higher) in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Disability.
- Qualified and experienced Care Coordinator, with a minimum of three years' experience working in community or residential aged care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or recent experience in aged care, including dementia care and manual handling (hoist operation).
