The Remote Healthcare Initiative offers a unique opportunity to provide dental care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Northern Territory.

Role Overview

This is an exciting chance for experienced dentists to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in remote clinics, delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive care. As part of this role, you will be working on-site in remote NT communities, leveraging your skills to make a real difference in the lives of those you serve.

  • This locum position involves providing comprehensive dental treatment to patients in need, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other procedures.
  • You will work closely with local health practitioners, general practitioners, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Requirements
  • A current NT Radiation License or application for NT Radiation License is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' full-time postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting is necessary.
  • A minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dentist within the past 12 months is also required.
  • CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
Benefits

We offer fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by us. Additionally, we provide cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare. You'll also receive free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
