Behaviour Support Therapist – Melbourne

We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Shepparton and surrounding areas.
This role is full-time or part-time (4 days per week).
Your Everyday- As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, you'll work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
- You'll utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding.
- You'll build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
- Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilizing positive behaviour support framework.
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
- Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; share stories of impact, coffee and laughs.
- You'll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor.

What We're Looking For- Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required).
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field).
- A positive and flexible approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and be a team player.
- Commitment to personal and professional growth.
- A valid Australian drivers license.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Working with Childrens Check.
