About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Specialist to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in the Shepparton and surrounding areas. This position is full-time or part-time (4 days per week).
Your Everyday
- As a Behaviour Support Specialist at Everyday Independence, you will work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
- You will utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
- Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
- Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
- Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
- Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee, and laughs
- You will tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

Requirements
- NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or related field)
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- A valid Australian drivers license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Childrens Check
