About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Indigenous Affairs Advisor to support the development of State Based Social Inclusion Strategies for VIC, NSW & QLD, and to work closely with Procurement and Operations to identify opportunities for social benefit suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explore opportunities to work with local workforce inclusion providers and community stakeholders.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for priority jobseeker cohorts tailored to geography/project need.
  • Establish targets and reporting requirements for relevant tenders.
  • Support the delivery and implementation of Laing O'Rourke's RAP and alignment with Indigenous Affairs strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage key Indigenous initiatives, programs, partnerships, and memberships.
  • Cultivate relationships with Indigenous businesses and social enterprises.

About You

  • Strong understanding of current Government policy and requirements specific to Social Procurement and Workforce Inclusion.
  • Experience in developing and delivering inclusive employment programs.
  • Strong procurement and commercial skills, with the ability to work within a complex project environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions.
