Indigenous Affairs Strategy Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indigenous Affairs Advisor to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will support the development of State-Based Social Inclusion Strategies, work winning bids, and deliver and implement Indigenous initiatives and commitments.
About the Role
The Senior Indigenous Affairs Advisor will be responsible for exploring opportunities to work with local workforce inclusion providers and community stakeholders. They will identify strategic opportunities for priority jobseeker cohorts tailored to geography/project need, work closely with Procurement and Operations to identify opportunities for social benefit suppliers during tender phase, and establish targets and reporting requirements for relevant tenders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have an understanding of training or employment and development or work experience in a similar role within the construction industry. You will also have a strong understanding of current Government policy and requirements specific to Social Procurement and Workforce Inclusion, as well as experience in developing and delivering inclusive employment programs. Additionally, you will have strong experience in dealing with Indigenous businesses and/or social enterprises, excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions, and the ability to work with local community groups, support services, and key stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
