Mechanical Plant Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fixed Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our processing plant.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with experience working in a wet plant processing environment. You will be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
In this role, you will be required to:
- Maintain all assets to operational capacity, while continuously striving to improve process efficiency;
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with our organisational values;
- Comply with safety protocols on a daily basis;
- Follow established processes and procedures;
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to team goals and supporting colleagues.
You will work closely with the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the successful execution of maintenance tasks, and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence within the organisation.
Requirements include:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate;
- Experience working in a Fixed Plant (wet plant) processing environment;
- Familiarity and background in working with pumps;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work on screens, crushers & Hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities- Operate fixed plant equipment including but not limited to: screens, crushers, hydraulics and other relevant equipment to ensure effective performance;
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the optimal functioning of all plant equipment;
- Identify and report potential hazards or risks to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and provide recommendations for mitigation;
- Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all site rules, regulations and procedures;
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and management to ensure efficient workflow and achieve goals.
- Trade certificate in a relevant field;
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role within a wet plant processing environment;
- Familiarity with pumps and hydraulic systems;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
