Job Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth clinical experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer and direct incoming calls promptly, ensuring all patients receive timely assistance.
  • Accurately check patients in and out while maintaining a high level of efficiency.
  • Verify and update patient demographics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Obtain and confirm patient insurance information for seamless processing.
  • Schedule patients according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare charts and print encounter tickets prior to patient visits.
  • Confirm appointments and document responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Upload laboratory, imaging, and procedural results into the patient's e-chart.
  • Collect outstanding balances, copays, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients.
  • Reconcile the cash drawer according to financial guidelines.
  • Process referrals efficiently, ensuring timely communication with healthcare providers.

  • Comply with organization-wide policies and procedures at all times.
  • Perform daily duties aligning with Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the hospital's Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
  • Work within professional Scope of Practice, upholding high standards of care.
