Aircraft Operations Expert

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Operations Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft across our Australian assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a culture of safety in aviation operations
  • Evaluate and implement effective controls for aviation and travel-related risks
  • Lead audits and ensure timely closure of actions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in aviation event reviews and incident investigations
  • Manage Technical Integrity changes and deviations relevant to aviation in accordance with the Integrity Management Standard
  • Provide technical support and participate in the Incident Management Team
  • Maintain and update aviation standards and guidelines
  • Advise on the application of aviation industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in aircraft operator tendering and approve acceptable operators
  • Monitor aviation service provider performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement
  • Engage in Aviation and Drone Communities of Practice and internal stakeholder forums
  • Represent us with key external stakeholders, including; Aviation service providers, oil and gas Aviation Advisors, regulators as required

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of rotary wing aircraft performance and operations; fixed-wing experience desirable
  • Strong understanding of offshore helicopter operations and relevant regulations
  • Lead auditor experience with Quality auditing standards
  • Proficiency in Aviation Safety Management Systems
  • Demonstrated success in managing external stakeholders
  • Technically competent with aviation-related digital systems
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation, with a focus on offshore oil and gas environments
  • Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPL(H)) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(H))
