To achieve success in aviation operations, join our team as a subject matter expert who will champion a safety culture and provide technical leadership. Your role will be to ensure the implementation of appropriate controls for aviation and travel-related risks.

As an Aviation Adviser based in Perth, you will act as a technical leader, supporting safe and compliant aviation operations across our Australian assets. You will lead and document aviation audits, ensuring timely closure of actions, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in aviation event reviews and incident investigations.

Key duties include maintaining and updating our Aviation standards and guidelines, advising on the application of industry standards and regulations (CASA, ICAO), and participating in aircraft operator tendering and approving acceptable operators.

Additionally, you will engage with internal stakeholders, including the Incident Management Team, and monitor aviation service provider performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role is ideal for a seasoned aviation professional with deep technical expertise and a passion for stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of rotary wing aircraft performance and operations; fixed-wing experience desirable.
  • Strong understanding of offshore helicopter operations and relevant regulations.
  • Lead auditor experience with Quality auditing standards (ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Proficiency in Aviation Safety Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing external stakeholders.
  • Technically competent with aviation-related digital systems.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation, with a focus on offshore oil and gas environments.
  • Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPL(H)) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(H)).
