About IRT Group

A leading Australian not-for-profit provider of aged care, home care, and retirement living services is seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef and Operations Manager to lead our hospitality team at our Aged Care Centers.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, ordering, preparation, and compliance of food service, laundry, and cleaning operations. This includes:

  • Leading and mentoring hospitality employees, including reviewing performance and developing strategies for improvement
  • Ensuring food safety documentation is complete and that all work practices meet HACCP requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facilities
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with other departments to achieve business objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (or similar) and Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (or willingness to obtain)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
