About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and outcomes-focused Logistics Officer to join our team in Cairns. As a key member of the Fleet Logistics Support Element, you will be responsible for performing and achieving moderately complex logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce.

As a Logistics Officer, you will be accountable for organising your workflow, making decisions within your defined parameters, and seeking guidance when required. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support, undertaking research and analysis activities, and sharing information with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage governance duties on logistics inventory management activities in accordance with the Electronic Supply Chain Manual.
  • Coordinate logistics inventory management through the use of information management systems and responding to inventory requests.
  • Compose responses to correspondence, briefs, and reports on logistics inventory management activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge to provide advice on logistics inventory management to stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
About Our Team

FLSE-Cairns provides logistic support, Service Funds accounting, and Food Services to Cairns Based Fleet Units (CBFUs), Cairns Naval Resident Units (NRUs), visiting MWV, MFU, and ships from foreign navies.

We are an integrated, multi-disciplinary team of Defence members, civilians, and contractors who work together to provide support to Cairns-based platforms, visiting vessels, and the Cairns region.
