Job Opportunity:

The Operations Supervisor position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our terminal.

This involves managing a team of employees, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving productivity through effective leadership and decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct operational teams to achieve goals and objectives
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
  • Oversee vessel operations, including berthing, unloading, and loading
  • Manage performance and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies
  • Nominate and train personnel for key roles and responsibilities

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, logistics, or relevant fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal/operations management within transport, maritime, or stevedoring industries
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams
  • Experience working in container or bulk ports sectors or similar industries
  • Industrial relations management experience in unionized environments
