About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team and lead our audit and compliance efforts. This role will play a critical part in upholding our commitment to regulatory standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Compliance Management Framework across Engineers Australia.
  • Monitor and update compliance obligations in response to legislative changes.
  • Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Coordinate the preparation of reports to meet the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act.
  • Support the administration of the annual Internal Audit Plan.
  • Work with internal auditors to schedule and manage audit activities.
  • Track and report on the progress of audit actions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Conflict of Interest Policy, ensuring declarations and management plans are completed where necessary.

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of audit and compliance best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience preparing reports for senior management.
  • Experience coordinating compliance with the Modern Slavery Act, including report preparation to meet its requirements.
  • The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
