The Role: Simulator Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Simulator Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the simulator's availability and performance, ensuring it meets internal and external compliance requirements. This role requires shift work and involves working closely with Senior Simulation Technicians and Technical Managers to achieve maximum successful training events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the simulator's mechanical and electrical systems, adhering to internal and external quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by senior staff members
  • Assist flight crew and instructors during training sessions
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes

Requirements:

  • A High School Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • An Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Certificate IV Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in simulator maintenance, avionics, or electrical control system maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools and test equipment
  • A good understanding of computer networks
