**About This Role**
As a Hardware Specialist, you will support hardware engineering activities associated with CAE’s through-life support contracts, upgrades, and installation projects across CAE’s simulators and training devices.
The role covers both electrical and mechanical systems and involves the selection, procurement, installation and set-to-work of various low power electrical and mechanical interface, mechanical fixtures and systems. As well as defining and/or updating CAD drawings and wiring schematics, the role is also responsible for updating associated installation instructions.
**This role will ideally be located in Homebush, NSW but we will also consider it being located in one of other NSW sites, preferably either RAAF Base Williamtown and HMAS Albatross, Nowra - or could be located in Brisbane, QLD.**
**The role we are offering you**
- Develop simulation hardware solutions for assigned tasks
- Maintenance of development folders required to capture hardware development activities
- Deployment of product on customer sites
- Provide support at Integration facilities
- Manage performance and maintenance of associated test procedures
- Advanced Diploma or Certificate IV in relevant hardware domain and/or equivalent experience
- Functional expertise (hardware and electrical engineering principles)
- Experience in aviation/flight simulation and/or military hardware engineering is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

**Security requirements**
**_As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance._**
