Job Role Summary

This senior leadership position focuses on strategic freight management, encompassing commercial negotiations and regulatory compliance. The role is critical in shaping pricing methodologies and ensuring seamless rail access administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish robust pricing frameworks to manage public and third-party rail operators, maintaining optimal commercial arrangements.
  • Coordinate all economic regulatory and pricing accountabilities for the organization, guaranteeing alignment with industry requirements.
  • Lead the administration of rail access agreements, overseeing performance metrics and dispute resolution to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Analyze data and draft annual compliance reports for submission to IPART, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement assurance protocols for non-price access products and services delivered by TAM Agents.

Based in Sydney, this role allows for flexible working conditions, accommodating regional applicants while requiring regular travel to the city.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Senior-level experience in regulated asset delivery environments, preferably in industries like rail, gas, or electricity.
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their application within complex commercial organizations.
  • A proven track record in infrastructure pricing and negotiation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial relationships and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant professional experience in fields like Economics, Finance, or Law.
