Newcastle Private Hospital is a leading acute private hospital facility, co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. Our 189-bed hospital offers comprehensive services, including surgical and medical specialties.
We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and have invested in state-of-the-art facilities to support our skilled healthcare team. Our hospital features 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.
Our Services- Cardiac Suite with a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit
- Private Maternity Suite with six birthing suites and a special care baby nursery
- Newcastle Private Oncology Centre providing specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care
We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in caring for women and their family through the various stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working in an inclusive and vibrant environment that values and supports diverse families.
Essential Criteria- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant post-registration qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in antenatal and post-natal midwifery services
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team

- A salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024, ranging from $35.46 to $49.79 per hour
