Medical Officer Specialist


Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Officer to provide specialist medical services to patients within correctional environments.

The successful candidate will have current medical registration, fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice or Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and proof of recognition as a specialist.

They will also possess significant experience in General Practice with knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff to enhance existing services
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Current medical registration
  • FRACGP or FACRRM (or equivalent)
  • Specialist recognition by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee
  • Significant experience in General Practice
