Medical Officer in General Practice

We are seeking a Medical Officer to provide exceptional medical care to our patients.

  • Deliver high-quality services to ensure the best possible care for our community.
  • Offer outpatient consultations and procedures, including participating in after-hours and on-call rotations for round-the-clock medical coverage.
  • Attend to accidents and emergencies at our hospital, providing basic and advanced resuscitation, managing presenting patients, and facilitating necessary referrals.
  • Handle acute medical emergencies with expert advice and consultation.
  • Have the flexibility to work in a general practice setting if desired.
  • Benefit from specialist advice through established networks within our Local Health District.
  • Provide essential reports as needed.

Candidates must have:

  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice.
  • Completed or undertaking an Emergency Life Support course, with skills, experience, and interest in Emergency Medicine.
  • Availability to participate in an after-hours/on-call roster seven days a week.
