Safety Fire Specialist

The fire safety team is responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across the region through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.
Purpose of the RoleThe team delivers high-quality fire safety services through a collaborative approach with key stakeholders. This collaborative approach delivers improved safety outcomes for the community.
Key Requirements- Eligible to apply for or hold relevant certifications and qualifications.
- Live or work within a reasonable distance of a local fire station.
- Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Manual C Class driver's licence.
- Respond to fires and other emergency incidents as a member of a team.
- Promote community safety by contributing to education activities and outreach programs.
- Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and training courses.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting equipment in a safe and effective manner.
