**Become a Fire Safety Specialist** At Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, we are seeking motivated individuals to join our team of dedicated professionals as Auxiliary Firefighters. We are responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will play a crucial role in responding to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for: 
  • Responding to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
  • Promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities
  • Developing and maintaining competencies by participating in drills and training to ensure safety and effectiveness
  • Maintaining attendance standards for emergencies and training
  • Operating firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
 Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to operate firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
  • A valid driver's license
