Fire Safety Specialist Role

As a Fire Safety Specialist, you will play a vital part in ensuring public safety and protecting properties from various emergency situations. This role requires teamwork, community engagement, and continuous skill development to stay ahead of the game.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in fire response teams to mitigate incidents and save lives.
  • Develop and execute community outreach programs to enhance fire awareness and prevention.
  • Stay updated with the latest firefighting techniques and tools through regular training sessions.
  • Meet attendance standards for emergencies and training exercises.
  • Operate advanced firefighting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to maintaining station facilities and adhering to high hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of operational equipment and facilities.
  • Support incident reporting and administrative tasks as needed.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Holding a valid Blue Card or equivalent.
  • Possessing a current manual driver's license (C Class).
  • Living or working within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian permanent residency status.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain a 50% attendance rate for day shifts or 30% for night shifts with irregular hours.
  • Orient yourself with local regulations and policies within 12 months of employment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and skills enhancement programs.
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
