Job Title: Fire Safety Specialist

As a fire safety specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency incidents as part of a team.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and training.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by participating in drills and training sessions.
  • Maintain attendance standards for emergencies and training.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively.
  • Contribute to station facility upkeep and hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
  • Ability to live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's license.

Accountabilities:

  • Act proactively in emergency situations.
  • Align work with organizational objectives.
  • Apply knowledge and skills in fire safety and rescue operations.
