Caxton is a leading community legal centre striving for a just and inclusive Queensland. We are seeking individuals who share our vision and are committed to making a positive impact.

Our team of 80 staff, supported by hundreds of volunteers, assist over 20,000 people annually. We deliver our services through a multidisciplinary model that integrates legal, social, and community responses to complex problems.

Key Roles
  • Stewarding the next chapter with strategic clarity, sector insight, and a shared commitment to social justice.
  • Contributing expertise or experience in areas such as philanthropy, digital strategy, outcomes measurement, data analytics, client-centred service models, governance, risk management, health / mental health, human services, communications, finance, community development, cross-sector collaboration, First Nations justice, and more.

We are particularly interested in individuals from diverse cultural, professional, and lived experience backgrounds, including those with experience or perspectives that complement our current Committee, such as from First Nations communities.

As a Management Committee member, you will be part of a dynamic team working together to achieve our goals. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills, build relationships, and make a meaningful contribution to our community.

What's Involved
  • Attending approximately eight meetings annually, including bi-monthly meetings and strategic planning and governance workshops.
  • Participating in at least one sub-committee and/or leading a particular project.
  • Average time commitment of approximately 6 hours per month, including meeting attendance and preparation, and other ad-hoc activities.
