We are seeking a dedicated AO5 Communications Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will contribute your expertise to significant initiatives ranging from renewable energy projects to major infrastructure projects, all aimed at fostering economic development and enhancing the liveability of our communities. This is not merely a job; it is an opportunity to forge a meaningful career within a positive, high-performance environment that values support and impact.
As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies and activities that align to the department's objectives. With good attention to detail, a creative flair, and quality writing skills, you will be responsible for producing engaging content across a variety of channels, managing projects from start to end, and cultivating essential stakeholder relationships, while always championing and advising on best practice communications.
This position offers more than conventional responsibilities. It invites you to forge meaningful connections, provide expert advice on the deployment of innovative communication tools and techniques, and skilfully convert complex information into captivating narratives tailored for a range of platforms. Your work will extend to evaluating the impact of our communications, where you will provide insightful suggestions for continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**: - Develop and execute high-quality communication strategies and plans aligned with the department's mission, vision, and values. Forge effective relationships both internally and externally while offering strategic, solution-focused communication guidance. Generate and curate content for multiple mediums, including online copy, social media posts, stakeholder communications, marketing materials, and event support. Contribute to the evaluation of communication strategies to ascertain their effectiveness, ensuring our messaging continuously evolves and resonates. Embrace and recommend innovative communication practices and technologies to enhance our engagement with diverse audiences.
