Job Role Overview

This is a specialized technical position that demands precision work, mechanical aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for dismantling, reassembling, and modifying hydraulic components, testing components for accuracy, troubleshooting any faults, and maintaining accurate records of parts used.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Dismantling, reassembling, and modifying hydraulic components
  • Testing components for accuracy and resolving any malfunctions
  • Maintaining precise records of parts used and reporting inadequate stock levels
  • Providing support to team members and mentoring Junior Technicians
  • E nsuring quality and continuous improvement in all tasks
Essential Qualifications:
  • A solid understanding of hydraulic principles and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings
  • Experience in reassembling and modifying mechanical components
  • Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • A Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering and a current manual driver's license
  • A Forklift License and a Certificate IV in Fluid Power (desired)

The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, organizational, communication, and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and quality. They will also be able to work well in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed.
