Hydraulic Fitter

As a Hydraulic Fitter, you will be responsible for the repair, assembly and testing of hydraulic systems in a day-shift workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hydraulics experience, trade-qualified with proven background in hydraulic cylinder overhaul, repair and testing.

  • Disassemble, repair and reassemble hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and related components.
  • Carry out fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic work on hydraulic systems.
  • Test, flush and commission hydraulic components to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and service manuals to complete accurate rebuilds and repairs.
  • Machining, honing and polishing of components as required to meet precise tolerances.
  • Fabricate and fit hydraulic hoses, seals and fittings, ensuring leak-free and safe operation.
Requirements

We are looking for a reliable, team-focused individual with strong communication skills and commitment to quality. The successful candidate will hold a current driver's licence and be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

  • Trade-qualified Hydraulic Fitter / Mechanical Fitter with strong hydraulics experience.
  • Proven background in hydraulic cylinder overhaul, repair and testing.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability with hydraulic circuits and fluid power systems.
  • Competency with precision measuring tools, workshop equipment and machining processes.
  • Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics, drawings and manuals.
