The Role

The Disability Support Leader will play a pivotal role in providing personalised coaching and mentoring for Disability Support Workers. You will oversee multiple facilities ensuring clients can maximise their choice and control, and staff are actively supporting services to be safe and compliant.

This is a maximum term (parental leave cover) full-time position where you will demonstrate your leadership skills, experience in the disability sector, and focus on strength-based practice and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team and provide guidance and supervision to achieve positive outcomes
  • Ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in delivering contemporary disability services
  • Facilitate and manage partnerships with families and supporters
  • Manage service operations including compliance, reporting, and staff ratios
  • Collaborate with key business partners to ensure national consistency in delivering a positive service
  • Monitor and report on incidents and complaints
  • Communicate and act consistently with our values
  • Participate in an on-call roster
Requirements
  • Leadership experience in delivering services to people with disabilities
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma in Social & Community Services or equivalent experience
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Established influencing and negotiation skills
  • Passion and drive to use your leadership capability to make a difference in the sector
  • Ability to think creatively and use initiative
