Procurement Leadership Role

This strategic procurement leadership position is responsible for maximising value from suppliers through market intelligence, insights, and effective implementation of best-in-class procurement processes and practices across technology categories.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and drive innovation in procurement processes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies across the organisation.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and support critical sourcing activities.
  • Liaise with partners on contracts, requirements, and category strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to implement course corrections and mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Oversee the commercial and governance framework for major projects.
  • Enable and facilitate strategic engagement between stakeholders and partners through an effective communication model.
  • Foster high-quality services and performance that deliver operational excellence and business value.
  • Implement a Continuous Service Improvement process with partners and leverage CSI initiatives to create additional value beyond contract requirements.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through collaborative working.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholder groups on procurement policies and processes, including contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with responsible sourcing, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications associated with Engineering, Commerce, Business or Law are preferred.
  • Knowledge of business drivers and issues facing a large-scale, matrix organisation and best practice procurement.
  • Proven leadership experience in leading and developing teams and managing projects to deliver complex initiatives and projects.
  • Talent development experience to nurture and grow skills.
  • Experience in planning and prioritisation to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Extensive experience in working on large-scale initiatives and projects with a proven ability to lead transformation for positive change.
  • Advanced experience in strategic plans and project management skills.
  • Experience and skills in strategic and outsourced vendor models.
  • Strong knowledge across service delivery and operations in an outsourcing environment.
