Haemodialysis Healthcare Specialist
We are seeking experienced Haemodialysis Nurses to provide dialysis treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
About the Role
The NT Remote Locum Program is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing haemodialysis treatment to patients in remote NT communities.
Responsibilities
- Providing haemodialysis treatment to patients in accordance with clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
- Participating in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
- Qualification/s in Nursing and minimum 2 years of haemodialysis nursing experience.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current National Criminal History Check (less than 6 months old).
- Unrestricted driver's license (to drive in the NT).
- Up-to-date immunisation status, including COVID-19 (2 doses + 1 booster), Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, BCG, Influenza, and Pertussis.
