Electrical Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to a range of exciting projects across various sectors.

About The Role

  • Job Description
  • Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in aviation, resources or rail.
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering;
  • High-level specialist expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation;
  • 6 to 10+ years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
  • Well-versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector, e.g., rail, resources, aviation;
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
  • Capacity to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.);
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous).
