Job Title: Electrical Design Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Expert to play a critical role in delivering high-quality design solutions for high voltage electrical systems. You will provide technical guidance and contribute to the development of standards, all in alignment with project objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and review high voltage designs in accordance with Australian and IEC standards, as well as technical requirements.
  • Complete detailed design calculations including short circuit forces, conductor sizing, lightning and lightning protection studies.
  • Investigate and implement innovative design solutions to meet project and business needs.
  • Review high voltage external designs to ensure quality and compliance.

About You:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Extensive experience in high voltage design across all functional areas of transmission network substations is essential.
  • Specialized expertise in a range of technical processes and procedures related to substation design is necessary.
  • Skilled in completing and reviewing project designs in collaboration with external consultants is a must.
  • Proficient in engineering business systems and design software, preferably Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.
