Job Title: Health Safety Environment Professional

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team at the New Women and Babies Hospital in Perth. As a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting, maintaining, and implementing health, safety, and environmental requirements for the project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of corporate HSE management system requirements, initiatives, and programs by collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead regular site inspections and subcontractor HSE audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with the implementation of QHSE components including policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Evaluate and implement effective mitigation measures to minimize risks associated with the project.
  • Analyze and report on HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture.
Requirements:
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications in HSE related disciplines or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in a similar position with large-scale commercial building construction projects.
  • Proven track record of developing, monitoring, and implementing safety management systems that meet industry standards.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
  • Able to promote a safe working environment and lead a strong safety culture through education and training.
