Work Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Safety professional to join our team. As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, this role will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing work health and safety practices and processes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a WHS professional to make a real difference in our organization. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices, with a proven track record in implementing diverse WHS strategies and managing projects.

  • Develop, manage and implement work health and safety practices and processes
  • Maintain currency and awareness of legislative requirements to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, guidelines and codes of practice
  • Work with management and the central WHS team to contextualize the ECU WHS framework to WAAPA operations and risks
Key Criteria

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A deep understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Proven experience in implementing diverse WHS strategies and managing projects
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
