
Chief ServiceNow Solution Architect

Leidos Australia seeks a highly skilled ServiceNow expert to join our team.
This role requires an individual with deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow, combined with strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions, as well as a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
As a ServiceNow expert, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, including components, integrations, workflows, and persona-based designs;
- Contributing to organisational change management, training, and user enablement;
- Designing and configuring ServiceNow modules and integrations, aligning out-of-the-box capabilities with business outcomes, ensuring security compliance, cost optimisation, and high platform performance and reliability;
- Championing platform best practices for development, deployment, release, and Evergreen maintenance; remediate customisations, support continuous updates, and enable low/no-code maturity across teams;
- Leading and collaborating across teams, working with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to consolidate requirements, support automation, improve integration, and ensure delivery of valuable, documented solutions;
- Coordinating platform operations, including resource scheduling, reporting, workload management, process improvement, mentoring team members, and engaging with vendors to maintain a best-practice implementation.
Requirements include:
- Extensive experience in ITSM and ServiceNow, with a strong background in solution architecture, development, and administration;
- Proven ability to work effectively in agile, collaborative environments, embracing rapid prototyping, partnering with process owners, and proactively identifying priorities without waiting for direction;
- Strong judgement, ownership, and willingness to step in on critical issues are essential;
- Holds or is willing to maintain ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Technical Architect or System Administrator;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent, with ITIL certification highly regarded;
- Brings hands-on ServiceNow expertise in administration, development, and architecture; skilled in ITSM operations, stakeholder workshops, cybersecurity, documentation, automation, and orchestration.
