Key Responsibilities

The Technical Expert plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Their key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Planning and Optimization: Develop and continually improve maintenance plans to increase overall availability and reliability of focused equipment.
  • New Product Implementation: Set up machinery to support successful implementation of new products within packaging.
  • Spare Parts Management: Analyze spare parts holding of assigned equipment and ensure the optimum quantity of general and critical spares are in stock.
  • Technician and Operator Training: Develop and deliver training, coaching, and mentoring programs for technicians and operators.
  • Equipment Improvement: Drive equipment improvement by reviewing performance of equipment in conjunction with the Packaging Teams, analyzing backlog, and developing reliability plans.
  • Collaboration with Suppliers: Liaise with equipment and raw material suppliers for the machine group.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in engineering or a mechanical/electrical trade qualification.
  • Industry Experience: Strong prior experience within the industry and a strong knowledge of machinery.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent trouble shooting skills and the ability to use your initiative to solve problems.
  • Continuous Improvement: A proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
