The role we are currently seeking is that of an Electrical Plant Technician. This position involves performing routine and non-routine electrical maintenance tasks on plant equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant procedures and standards.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical maintenance and operational tasks. This includes inspecting plant equipment, identifying faults and failures, and contributing to the resolution of plant-related issues.

As an Electrical Plant Technician, you will work closely with the operations team to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and failures.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis of incidents and participate in plant outages and project works.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current Victorian electrical trade license.
  • A valid C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Proven experience in working with CMMS, Permit to Work systems, and supporting plant shutdowns and minor project work.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and contribute to the resolution of plant faults and failures.
  • Sound understanding of HSE procedures and Management of Change processes.
