We are seeking a dynamic Lead External Communications Specialist to join our team and shape national conversations through creative, strategic, and purpose-driven external communications.
About the Role- Develop and implement external communication strategies for ASIC's consumer-focused priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Manage media activities, enquiries, and proactive opportunities that align with strategic goals.
- Deliver impactful consumer communication content, including media releases, articles, and digital assets.
- You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, media, public relations, or a related discipline, with 6–8 years' experience in communications, media, or PR (including digital and social media).
- Demonstrated success leading and executing external communication strategies from concept to delivery - ideally for a consumer brand, government department, or financial services organisation.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape, content creation, and the ability to pitch and secure media coverage.
- Experience in financial services or regulation will be highly regarded.
