About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Tassal. As a key member of our Industrial Engineering department, you will play a vital role in driving process improvements across our Tasmanian processing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
  2. Develop and implement process optimization strategies to enhance overall processing performance and meet site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processing processes or modify existing ones.
  4. Deliver improvement projects on time and within budget to meet project objectives.
  5. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing processes to drive innovation within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
  • Detailed understanding of Lean and process control principles (Six Sigma training will be a bonus) with proven application for process optimization.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of industry experience, including proven experience in Process Improvement Engineering.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of safety and food safety regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • FMCG experience will be highly regarded.
