Business Analyst Role Overview

This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.

Hudson Australia is seeking a Business Analyst to support new business improvement initiatives that will enhance data management processes and introduce new technologies, such as intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to conduct business and technical workshops to elicit and define requirements and business processes.
  • Review and analyse existing processes and systems and recommend improvements to business processes, practices, procedures and information systems.
  • Develop current state and future state models utilising appropriate modelling techniques to document end to end service delivery.
  • Develop detailed requirements and specification documents that provide key input into achieving business outcomes.
  • Obtain formal agreement from stakeholders on the scope of requirements.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring traceability is mapped and agreed for all business benefits through to system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts such as business problem statements, business requirements, change impact assessment, and transition to operation documents.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in business process mapping, including defining business rules and handling exceptions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess highly complex data and technical issues, define problem statements, recommend effective solutions, and identify associated benefits.
  • Experience in specifying and documenting business data requirements, as well as developing reports to monitor data quality issues and track data remediation progress.
  • Experience in designing, developing, delivering innovative data management solutions, supporting improvement initiatives, and leading data remediation exercises.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP project experience, preferably S4HANA or tax and revenue management related.
  • Familiarity with Prime BPM software for business process mapping.

Flexible Work Arrangements:

Please note that for the first three months, you must work full-time at the office (Brisbane CBD) to ensure you are provided with the appropriate support and to build relationships with staff. Following this period, you must work in the office a minimum of three business days per week noting that flexible work arrangements are dependent upon operational requirements.
