As a seasoned Health and Safety Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in the solar and renewable energy sector with a company that values exceptional culture.

The role involves overseeing and coordinating health, safety, and environmental activities on-site. Key responsibilities include engaging in HSE discussions, distributing safety notices, preparing safety reports, conducting site inspections, ensuring HSMP and Environmental Management Plan distribution, and fostering a workforce culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage in and facilitate HSE discussions including training, leading toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and other HSE initiatives
- Distribute safety notices to site-based personnel, issued by internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare sites safety and environmental performance statistics and reports.
- Conduct site inspections and complete regular internal safety and environmental audits as required.
- Ensure sites HSMP, and Environmental Management Plan are consistently distributed to all personnel.
- Responsible for compliance with OHS policies, procedures ensuring workplace compliance, reporting hazards and near misses
- Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation, honesty, and teamwork

About You:

- A Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent qualification
- Energy, mining, or resources experience in a similar position
- Effective leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across a variety of platforms with multidisciplinary personnel
- Strong understanding of legislative site-based, and client OHSE requirements
- Ability to take initiative on all HSE-related matters
