Head of Sales

The Head of Sales is responsible for overseeing the entire business development process across our organization. This position is primarily responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance to senior executives on the sales and business development process which will lead to future growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for business development that aligns with business objectives to achieve and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Sales Development: Foster relationships and lead high-level negotiations to close deals with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
  • Product Expansion: Identify and execute new product opportunities, exploring growth channels beyond the current focus to diversify revenue streams.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize performance of the sales team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Market Growth: Spearhead new market opportunities, business segments, and areas for expansion to drive revenue growth.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and forge strategic partnerships.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate systems, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively and track expenses related to business development projects.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including marketing, IT, customer service, and product development, to ensure cohesive efforts towards business development goals.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field is required (master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience with 10 or more years in a sales role, advising senior executives on strategy and processes is required.
  • Proven experience with 5 or more years effectively managing and leading teams is required.
  • Experience with the building materials or construction industry is preferred.
