About the Role

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the development and implementation of an innovative asset strategy. This will ensure our fleet is fit for purpose, reliable, and cost-efficient.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal asset performance through effective lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive decisions that improve reliability, minimise downtime, and enhance cost efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a high-level asset management strategy to optimise fleet performance and align with business needs.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Assets team, fostering collaboration, development, and a high-performance culture.
  • Embed a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with all legislative and technical standards.
  • Oversee maintenance management systems and reporting to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Partner with the Commercial team to align asset lifecycle costing with customer pricing and business goals.
  • Drive innovation in maintenance strategies and evaluate industry trends to keep us at the forefront of asset management.
About You

You are an experienced leader with a strong background in asset management, maintenance, or reliability, ideally within the heavy industry sector. You thrive in strategic leadership roles that require analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.

Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing asset and maintenance strategies.
  • Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management standards and underground coal legislation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems, data analytics, and lifecycle planning.
