Strategic Asset Leader

The role of Strategic Asset Leader is pivotal in driving the transformation of asset management practices. As a key strategic leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our assets and overseeing their strategy and performance.

This is an opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team and influence high-level decisions that improve reliability, minimise downtime, and enhance cost efficiencies.

Reporting directly to the Chief Planning & Transformation Officer, you will work closely with senior leaders across the Planning, Maintenance, and Commercial teams, as well as external regulators and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a high-level asset management strategy to optimise fleet performance and align with business needs.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Assets team, fostering collaboration, development, and a high-performance culture.
  • Embed a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with all legislative and technical standards.
  • Oversee maintenance management systems and reporting to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Partner with the Commercial team to align asset lifecycle costing with customer pricing and business goals.
  • Drive innovation in maintenance strategies and evaluate industry trends to keep us at the forefront of asset management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing asset and maintenance strategies.
  • Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management standards and legislation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems, data analytics, and lifecycle planning.
