Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at Saké Restaurant & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for engaging in general or specialised cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking duties, ensuring compliance with WH&S procedures, and supporting the sous chef & head chef with planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualification within Hospitality or Commercial Cookery.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar position or experience as Commis, Demi Chef or Cook.
  • Engage in general or specialised cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking duties.
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S procedures.
  • Support the sous chef & head chef with planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
  • Ensure a safe & hygienic work environment and train junior chefs on these procedures.
  • Availability for a 7-day rotating roster (hours are shared depending on availability, between open, mid and closing shifts).
