About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.

Job Summary:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • A genuinely warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Personable communication skills.
  • Energising motivation - it's infectious - no job is too big or too small.
  • A passion for the industry, a want to be the best in service.
